Peel Health Care is a Not for Profit organisation. Opened in August 2005, it is run by a voluntary Board. It is committed to providing the Tamworth community with an innovative model of healthcare that incorporates practice nursing, allied health and preventative healthcare.
Peel Health Care is an innovative, dynamic, fully managed GP practice providing high quality practice management services. The practice relocated to a new purpose built medical centre with associated services in June 2009.
The practice hosts a team of Allied Health Professionals including a Dietitian, Podiatrist, Physiotherapist, Clinical Psychologist and visiting Psychiatrists. Peel Health Care also offers full time experienced nursing support, well remunerated billing structures and regular staff and clinical meetings. We have a commitment to teaching GP registrars, medical and nursing students and to research as well as providing high quality health care. The practice is accredited with AGPAL and fully computerised.
Peel Health Care is located in northern NSW. Tamworth is a vibrant and picturesque regional city of 50,000 people combining rural lifestyle with city conveniences and offers excellent private and public schooling in a rapidly developing area. Tamworth is Australia’s Country Music Capital hosting the annual country music festival in January and has recently completed construction on the spectacular Australian Equine & Livestock Events Centre. There are several daily return flights between Sydney and Tamworth of approximately one hour duration.
