More Allied Health Services (MAHS) Program

The More Allied Health Services (MAHS) program was established in this Division in 2000 and aims to improve the health of people living in rural areas by improving links between allied health and general practice. MAHS aims to provide additional professional allied health services to patients referred by their treating GP.

Ineligible communities

Ineligible communities include all locations north of Walcha and Walcha Road, Kentucky, Piallamore, Nemingha and Tamworth.

Ineligible patients

Please note that all post-operative follow up treatment for patients is the responsibility of the health service providing the surgical treatment and these patients are not eligible for MAHS services.
